People:

At ignition, sustainability starts with PEOPLE and we are committed to investing in our people through training (safety, diversity, communications), continuous small group and company-wide learning opportunities, and serving our community together:

  • Safety First: We are one of the only companies in our industry with a certified, full-time director of safety and transportation, and are putting 100% of our event staff through CPR/First Aid training in 2011.
  • Community Recharging: We are striving to give back 1,500 hours of community service in 2011, that’s 30 hours per person with organizations from environmental non-profits to homeless care, chosen by employees based on their personal commitments and interest.

Planet:

We make choices in the way we live every day that impact our planet. And in ATLANTA, commuting has a major impact—so we are taking a multi-pronged approach to addressing this local and global issue.

SHRINK OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT: In 2011, Our goal is to reduce our carbon footprint from commuting by 20 percent, from 55 metric tons to 44 tons—that’s equal to taking 2 cars off the road for an entire year. Alternative commuting (biking, walking, transit and tele-working) will help us reach this goal.

Experiences:

Our work with our clients is an invitation to join us on this sustainability journey and co-create cutting-edge solutions that are practical for today with real impact on tomorrow.
