In the event marketing business, what goes on back-of-house is as important as the event itself, and sometimes more. This is the world Ricky lives in as head of ignition‘s logistics center, headquartered in South Georgia. He oversees all warehousing operations, purchasing, and insurance, and has been with the agency since 2000 when he worked part-time with projects such as the X Games and the 2002 Olympic Torch Relay. He became the full-time manager of logistics in 2005.
A graduate of the University of Georgia, Ricky worked for Colony Bancorp for seven years as a commercial loan officer. In 1996 he went into business with his father working a 1000-acre farm and still continues to help run the family farming operation today. Ricky currently serves on the board of directors for Planters First Bank in Ocilla, Georgia, and Tiftarea Academy in Chula, Georgia.
