Kevin Wall, Chairman
Kevin Wall's experience in music promotion and production, live television, the Internet, and venture capital investments in convergence technologies have established him as a one-of-a-kind futurist who has consistently led the way in discovering new niches in entertainment. In the 1970s, Kevin, who grew up in a family roller skating business in Fort Wayne, Indiana, formed Stage One, a portable staging company that met the demands of large concert performers traveling around the world. In 1984, he founded RadioVision International, which produced and/or negotiated international television distribution for more than 400 live musical events. In the early ‘90s, Kevin experienced the technology that would revolutionize the entertainment business – “a global village with two-way communications,” i.e. the Internet. In response, he founded BoxTop Interactive in 1995 to design online entertainment and marketing solutions. In 1997, Kevin merged with Atlanta media mogul Bert Ellis to launch the global interactive consulting firm, iXL. As Vice-Chairman of iXL, Wall led the acquisition and organization of 42 Internet design and consulting shops into a firm with 3,000 employees, 38 offices worldwide and annual revenues of over $400 million. iXL went public in 1999 and reached a market capitalization of $3.5 billion within a year. Kevin next co-founded Shelter Capital Partners, a $175 million venture capital fund currently invested in 12 companies in the semi-conductor, software and media convergence sectors. In 2005, recognizing the explosive growth in non-broadcast marketing and branding sparked by the emergence of digital entertainment, Kevin became a partner in the ownership of ignition, Inc.
